Moving Day Has Come!!! Eeeep!

As it turns out, creating a nice blog from scratch – with absolutely no prior knowledge of web development and only basic graphic design skills – isn’t as easy as I thought it’d be. 

But after two months of hard work, headaches, reading, learning, frustration, more learning, trial and error – mostly error – and unrelenting persistence (or stubbornness?), my new website is READY!!!!!!!!!

The new website will not be available at all as I get things moved, but you’ll know as soon as it’s ready. Nothing is going to be removed from So Many Obsessions quite yet, but it will eventually go away since everything will be on Peachy Saving.

RSS and email subscriptions shouldn’t be interrupted. You might see some annoying ‘Test’ posts, so my apologies in advance. 🙂

New Groupon Getaways – LOTS in the South!

As you may know, I’ve been on the hunt for a super sweet travel deal, and my main criteria is under $300-400 and within reasonable driving distance of Atlanta (a super sweet deal might be worth an 8-10hr drive to me).

Oh my GEEZ there are SO many options this week

I’m thisclose to being done with the new website (as in DONE like SOON SOON), so I don’t have enough time to detail all about the week’s getaways, but you’ve GOT to check them out!

Here are the ones I’ve scoped out and think are awesome! 

$289 for a two night stay incl breakfast at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL.  The resort is so nice with a HUGE pool/slide.

$269 for a two night stay with 4hr watercraft rental at The Ridges Resort & Marina in Young Harris, Ga. I have family in this area and The Ridges is THE # 1 resort in all of northeast Georgia. It’s so gorgeous! Includes wine (or dessert for two) and cookies and cider (or s’mores and hot cocoa) both nights, two 25% off vouchers for their restaurant, and more!

$269 for a two night stay incl $20 food credit and $50 SPA credit for two at Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove FL (just south of Miami). It’s tempting, but too far to drive.

$86 for a one night stay at The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn in Pawley’s Island SC. No sweet extras and the hotel is eeh… so so. But it IS on the beach.

$59 for a one night stay at Royal St. Charles in New Orleans LA! I’ve been hoping for a deal in New Orleans!! Also includes two tickets for the Jean Lafitte swamp boat tour. I’ve confirmed with a friend who’s from there that this hotel is in a safe and nice area.
